$6 Million jury verdict for failure to diagnose cancer timely

A 58 year-old assistant professor underwent a colonoscopy and was told he did not have cancer. Two years later, he died of cancer. The family sued the colonoscopy surgeon for not removing and testing a polyp (abnormal tissue growth) during the colonoscopy.
